Custom Iron Workers, Inc. began
painting and repairing
horse trailers in 1992. Since we travel
with horses ourselves we were frustrated by not being able to
find the exact trailer to fit our needs. CIW Trailers was born
out of this need. Our trailers contain many unique features to
provide for the safety and comfort of people and horses.
CIW Trailers are stronger and lighter than many of the top
quality aluminum trailers of the same size and equipment. This is
achieved with our unique unibody construction. They are finished
with the highest quality automotive acrylic enamel paint with
hardener added. Our sandblast preparation and 7 coat paint finish
are highly resistant to rust and corrosion.
Due to the increased demand for our products, Custom Iron Workers, Inc. has expanded! The photo above is a bit misleading, as the new shop is twice as big as the old one in the foreground!
Examples: These were custom ordered trailers. We have built trailers ranging from $10,000 bumper pulls to $50,000 32' goosenecks with complete living quarters. Even the bumper pull included 2 Safety Pen corrals, 2- 30 gallon water tanks, pump, batteries, etc. We don't build "cheap" trailers, but our prices are reasonable for what you get.

pictured above is a 32' 3 horse slant with mid tack and living
quarters.

<<Trailer at left is 26'

With our Safety Pen™
Corrals built right in, your horse will rest as comfortably as
you do.
This floor plan depicts
the 26' trailer above. It has twin beds and a closet
across the nose.
Is is just an example of something
different we can do. We have made identical trailers with a queen
side bed in the nose. The interior photos show a trailer set up
for a king size bed at the nose, with a closet & loveseat
also in the upper section. (our most popular set-up) The rest of
the trailer is laid out the same.
The beauty of custom building is that we can alter our plans to
suit your needs. With some companies, "custom" only
means that you have a choice of THEIR floor plans!

Our folding steps can be padlocked in the
upright position. This will secure your tackroom while traveling,
in addition to the locking door handle!
Having a built

grain tubs, feed & water buckets, etc. We put access doors on
BOTH sides of the trailer. This
also increases the "upstairs" bed area by 2'.
We
realize many people prefer a motor home, or pickup camper. CIW
Trailers can design a bumper pull trailer to fit your needs, too.
These can also include storage, water tanks, etc..our Safety
